From prototypes to high volume production

All projects commence with a careful and detailed contract review process designed to ensure that customer requirements are fully understood and realistically achievable to an agreed timeline. The projects are planned using a series of operations for each component, fabrication and assembly. All materials, external operations and treatments are determined and specified at this stage.

Our in-house manufacturing capability is supported by an extensive approved supply chain. Most of our suppliers have worked with us for many years and are familiar with our, often stringent, requirements.

Working with our customers, our team of Production Engineers and Account Managers can manage projects, beginning with prototypes and moving all the way through to high volume production.

With 15 experienced engineering team members, CE Turner confidently takes control of the project management of design, manufacture, prototyping and production of components, fabrications and complex assemblies.

Seiki System

As part of the supply chain and project management service, our Seiki System helps to provide greater confidence for our customers when we are giving out lead times, as the system’s scheduling software will display a thorough plan going forward.

This allows us to generate production schedules for all our orders based on actual capacity and customer delivery requirements. This is then delivered to the shop floor users through prioritised digital work queues.

We can also react quickly to incoming queries regarding machine availability, helping us to plan out the timeline of projects and ensuring that customers can prepare for any changes.

With improved visibility of manufacturing activity and performance, it is possible to factor in predictable delays and risks to production plans and schedules, such as long material lead times or late deliveries from suppliers. We can manage customer expectations and provide supporting data for any schedule adjustments.

Finally, we can create Gantt charts of all sub level components that make up an assembly, displaying the net effect of the parts to determine the impact of each single piece on the assembly and highlight critical paths.

The Seiki System was a strategic investment for CE Turner, and helps us to ensure that all our machines are adding value to our production activities. Our operators are constantly analysing feedback on the actual times it will take to produce parts, enabling us to plan ahead once we have knowledge about how long parts will take to manufacture.
